A series of promotional activities have been launched in Zhangjiajie to attract visitors from across the world to spend a joyous winter holiday there from Dec. 1, 2016 through Feb. 28, 2017 (except Spring Festival starting from Jan. 28 to Feb. 3, 2017).
Ten major events will be held, including
1.Travel notes competition;
2.Photography contest themed with snow-covered landscape;
3.Sino-South Korean travel notes contest;
4.Gannian of Tujia minority (Gannian is the Lunar New Year of Tujia people and is celebrated one day before the Lunar New Year of the Han people.);
5.International tourism culture activities at Genting (transparent-domed bar);
6.Self-driving tour around Zhangjiajie;
7.Miss Hot Springs contest;
8.Collection of the most fun facial makeup on Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge;
9.Sangzhi folk song performances;
10.Tourism marketing campaigns worldwide.

Ten winter tourism items will be promoted, including enjoying snowy scenery, experiencing folk customs, spending Gannian festival, celebrating lantern festival, taking a hot spring bath, walking through Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge and the glass skywalk stretching around a cliff on Tianmen Mountain, tasting rice wine, enjoying folk songs and self-driving tour, and coming close to the nature.
